Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. He is the son of Manny James, along with Patty James of mixed race. The mother of Manny James is caucasian and his father is Nigerian. In 2010, he graduated of Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James first gained popularity as a reality star in The Bachelorette. The Bachelor season 25 premiered in 2021. The next Bachelor was James, who was one of the very first African American to play the main part. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the role because his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded and has a sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was picked as his partner for the entire season. James danced with Arnold, who was famous at the time to participate in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.
